Principal Shehvar Fathima
Shehvar Fathima believes that the early years shape everything that follows. The way a child learns to explore, ask questions and feel secure in the world begins long before formal schooling. That belief is at the heart of SPROUTING MUNCHKINS, the preschool she founded in Netaji Nagar, Kurnool. Her goal is simple: a playful, safe environment where young children are free to be curious, make friends and grow at their own pace. Across Nursery, LKG and UKG, every classroom is designed to help little ones build confidence, independence and a genuine love for learning. For Shehvar, Nurturing Young Minds is more than a tagline. It is a promise to every parent who walks through the door that their child will be known, cared for and encouraged every single day. With SPROUTING MUNCHKINS, she hopes to give families in Kurnool a preschool they can trust completely, and a place where children feel happy and at home from day one.
Our Story
Sprouting Munchkins Preschool was founded with a simple belief: every child deserves a warm, safe place to begin their learning journey. Rooted in the heart of Kurnool, our school grew from a deep desire to bring child-centred, joyful early education to local families. From our very first classroom to today, that spirit has never changed.
Our Philosophy
We chose our name because we believe that each child is like a little seed, which has many possibilities. With the right kind of care, they can become confident people. In Sprouting Munchkins, we use the play-based approach to learning. Through building, singing, creating, and exploring, children learn to become more capable of communicating, solving problems, empathising and becoming confident. Our teachers weave literacy, numeracy and knowledge of the world around them into their play. So that every learning begins with fun and understanding rather than rote learning. This itself helps us instil a love for learning in the children.
